1. Where are you located and how do I book an appointment?

I am at a private location in the North Beacon Hill area of Seattle. Map
To book a hair extension installation appointment you must first set up a consultation.
    Please schedule your appointment online.
You will receive the address in your appointment confirmation email/text.

  2. What happens during a consultation?

The consultation is booked for 30 minutes but it may take less time.
I will assess the condition of your hair, match your color and estimate how many extensions will be needed.
If you decide to have extensions done, you will be asked to leave a 50% deposit of the quote to secure your appointment and purchase hair.
Be sure your hair is freshly colored or it is the color you would like the extensions to be.
Please arrive at your consultation as well as your extension appointment with clean hair.

  3. How many extensions will I need?

The amount depends on the thickness of your hair and the size of your head. If you have very fine layered hair you will not need as much as someone with thick hair that is all one length.
A lot of people say "I just want a few rows on the bottom for length" - that isn't how it works 🙂
Please take a look at this, it will give more insight into how much hair might be needed for your hair type.

  4. What services do you provide?

Fusion or Strand by Strand human hair extensions
Synthetic hair - heat seal method

  5. What services DON'T you provide?

Haircuts (I *do* cut and style extensions)
    Micro-bead/link/i-tip extensions
    Tape-in extensions
    Natural dreadlocks
    Dread maintenance
    Dread extenders

  6. What types of payment do you accept?

Cash, checks, Paypal and any US-issued credit, debit, pre-paid, or gift card with a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover logo.

  7. How long does it take to have hair extensions done?

A full head of extensions takes 4-6 hours typically.
Color highlites might take 30 minutes.

  8. How long does my hair have to be?

Your hair should be at least 3" long. Shorter hair doesn't lay as flat and will not cover the extensions or blend properly.

  9. How long will the extensions last?

With proper care, you shouldn't lose too many of the extensions. Losing 20 or less within the lifetime of the extensions is common. I replace any extensions for free within the first month, but this rarely happens.
ALL extensions should be removed after wearing them for 3 months. The hair will grow 1 1/2-2" in that time and the roots will start dreading. This is due to trapped and dead hair being unable to be combed out.
There are NO extension methods that should be worn longer than 3 months no matter what you have heard or been told.

  10. How are the extensions removed?

Your extensions should be removed after three months.
With synthetic hair, I crack the heat seal by twisting it, then the extension slides off.
Then the hair is combed free of trapped hair.
Fusion extensions are removed with an alcohol solution, and combed out.

  11. What if I have problems with my extensions?

You need to let me know asap!
If your hair is tangling or knotting, check the products you are using. Are you using sulfate free shampoo? Are you avoiding volumizing and thickening products? Are you washing your hair every day or sleeping with wet hair? Using a hot flat iron every day? Check how you are caring for your hair.
Anything else, you have to let me know so I can help.
There are NO refunds issued, only exchange of service.

  12. Will anyone know my hair isn't real?

No one should know. I try to make my work as undetectable to the eye as possible. Of course if someone looks through your hair or touches your scalp they will know. No hair extensions are completely undetectable.

  13. Will my hair come out when the extensions are removed?

Normal daily hair loss is 50-100 hairs per day. When you wear extensions, the hair you normally lose is trapped in the extension and does not fall out naturally.
If you leave your extensions in longer than 3 months, yes you could lose hair. Don't do that 🙂

  14. Can I color my hair while wearing hair extensions?

You are able to do retouches to your own hair without a problem.
Extra careful rinsing (3 times longer than usual) is imperative if you are doing the retouch yourself.
Foil retouches are not possible in the areas where the extensions are applied.

  15. Can I bring my own hair?

Yes as long as it is u-tip or flat tip fusion hair. The charge for that service is $4.50 per extension.

  16. What is Fusion or Strand by Strand?

These extensions come with keratin protein adhesive already attached to the tip of each piece of hair.
It closely matches the composition of human hair.
I place the piece of hair under a small section of your hair, heat the bond and then roll between my fingers to secure.
The bond resembles a grain of rice.

  17. Can I color the extensions?

It is recommended that you do not color the extensions. The hair is already processed and results can be very unpredictable. However, you CAN color your roots. Just rinse twice as long as you normally would. Foils cannot be applied to areas where there are hair extensions.
